Gerald is the lead advisor to clients on critical elements of their value-creating strategies. His comprehensive capabilities in M&A, strategy, and finance have been honed over more than 20 years of professional experience with multi-national corporations, investment banking boutiques, and Big “4” advisory firms.
Before establishing Viorum, Gerald was a Director with Deloitte’s M&A Practice in San Francisco, where he led M&A advisory projects for emerging growth companies, leading financial sponsors, and corporate buyers.
Gerald has executed advisory engagements for financial sponsors and corporations in the US, Canada, Europe, and Africa, ranging in value from $5 million to several billion dollars.
Gerald holds an MBA from Wits Business School (South Africa), a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from University of Cape Town, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from University of Western Cape (SA). He is an inactive member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (South Africa).
