Martin Doyle

Senior Advisor

At Viorum, Martin is an advisor on M&A, corporate development, and integration engagements.  He also serves as Viorum’s specialist in Life Sciences, Healthcare, and medical devices.

Prior to joining Viorum, Martin worked for over 14 years in the Corporate and Business Development groups of Applied Biosystems, Life Technologies, and ThermoFisher. In his role as Director of M&A, he played critical roles in the acquisitions of Ambion ($273 million) and Agencourt ($125 million). He co-led the anti-trust filings for the $5 billion acquisition of Applied Biosystems by Invitrogen. In his role as Director of Integrations, Martin managed cross-functional, global teams of 50+ persons tasked with integrating every aspect of acquired companies.

He also led a technology in-licensing program as a member of the Applied Biosystems business development team. Earlier in his career, Martin also worked at Agilent Technologies and Incyte Genomics.

Martin holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business, a Master of Science in Plant Biology from University of California at Davis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology from University of Santa Barbara.
